Visiting
What are your hours?
We are open every day from 12:00 PM to 11:30 PM, including weekends.
Where are you located?
5705 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls, Ontario L2G 3L5, at the corner of Victoria Avenue and Clifton Hill, across from Casino Niagara. We are a short walk from the Falls, Clifton Hill attractions and the major hotels.
Where can I park?
Public parking is available on Ellen Avenue, right beside the restaurant. Parking in the Clifton Hill area is paid, so plan for parking fees.
Do I need a reservation?
Walk-ins are welcome. For larger groups or busy summer evenings, call us at 905-354-3444 so we can have a table ready.
Can you host large groups?
Yes. Please call ahead for groups. A 15% gratuity is added for parties of 6 or more.
How long have you been open?
The Guru has served Niagara Falls since 2003, making it one of the longest-running Indian restaurants in the region.
Food and Menu
Is your meat halal?
Yes. All the meat we serve is halal. More about halal dining at The Guru.
What kind of Indian food do you serve?
Authentic North Indian cooking, with Punjabi and Delhi favourites. Our tandoori dishes and breads are cooked in a traditional charcoal tandoor, and our dal makhani is simmered overnight. We also serve Delhi street food and Indo-Chinese dishes. See the full menu.
What should I order on my first visit?
Guest favourites include butter chicken, dal makhani, tandoori chicken from the charcoal oven, chicken or lamb biryani, and garlic naan. For two people, a Guru Platter ($45–$50) is a great way to try several dishes at once.
Do you have a buffet?
No. The Guru is an à la carte restaurant, and every dish is cooked to order. To try several dishes at once, a Guru Platter for two ($45–$50) is the closest thing to a buffet. See the full menu.
Do you have vegetarian options?
Yes, a large selection, including dal makhani, paneer dishes, chana masala, malai kofta, vegetable biryani, street snacks and a vegetarian platter.
Do you have vegan options?
Yes, we have vegan options. Please tell your server you are vegan when you order, so they can guide you to suitable dishes and confirm the ingredients. See our vegetarian and Jain dishes.
Do you offer Jain food?
Yes. Many dishes can be prepared Jain-style, and they are marked “Jain option” on our menu. Let your server know when ordering. See our vegetarian and Jain dishes.
Do curries come with rice or naan?
Curries are served on their own, so rice and breads are ordered separately (basmati rice $6, butter naan $6, garlic naan $7). Our Guru Platters and biryanis are complete meals.
Do you serve alcohol?
Yes. We serve Niagara VQA wines, imported wines, domestic and imported beer including Indian beer, spirits and cocktails.
What about food allergies?
Our kitchen handles nuts, shellfish, egg and mustard. Please tell your server about any allergies or dietary restrictions before you order.

Do you offer takeout and delivery?
Yes. Call 905-354-3444 for takeout, or order delivery on Uber Eats.
Do you cater events?
Yes. We offer halal catering for birthdays, family gatherings and other events, with party trays, custom packages and full meal combos. Learn about catering.
What are your policies on tipping and taxes?
Prices are subject to 13% HST. A 15% gratuity is added automatically for parties of 6 or more; for smaller tables, tipping is at your discretion.
